Hossam Heyba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, announced the launch of the Golden License for strategic PropTech projects, reinforcing Egypt’s commitment to supporting advanced technology within the real estate sector and accelerating digital transformation.
The initiative aims to enhance the investment environment by streamlining regulations and prioritizing high-value technology-driven sectors, enabling faster growth for PropTech companies operating in Egypt.
The Golden License is designed to expedite project establishment and operations through a one-stop shop model, while offering financial and tax-related incentives, including procedural facilitation, selected fee exemptions, and simplified customs processes for equipment and software.
The Authority also emphasized its focus on supporting startups and strengthening investor dispute resolution mechanisms, reflecting improved operational efficiency and growing investor confidence.
From CONCEPT IMD’s perspective, the Golden License represents a strategic shift that positions technology as a core driver of real estate innovation and investment efficiency.
The firm projects that this initiative could generate a 20% annual increase in foreign PropTech investment, alongside ROI improvements of 25–35%, particularly for solutions leveraging artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital asset management.
